Hey! My name is Cody and I am excited to be a part of the Sports Academy personal training team!
I have been training/coaching since I was 16 years old, so over 16 years now. Crazy how fast time flies! I basically grew up going to the gym. My stepdad has been in my life since I was very young and he runs a strength and conditioning business working with all levels of athletes. I grew up around that and as a junior in high school, I started assisting him with coaching, and fell in love with it.
Since then, I have continued to learn and grow. Gaining knowledge, acting on that knowledge, and putting myself in the right circumstances consistently has given me the experience that has helped me become the coach I am today. I believe that experience is priceless and I've done my best over the years to surround myself with the best coaches and mentors.
Each of us have a body and with that each of us are athletes. Whether competitively speaking or not. We are meant to be active. That is my belief and as a coach that is my purpose.
I specialize in helping athletes build activity into their life, making it consistent, fun, and beneficial to them individually. I want to help create athlete's that take responsibility for their own health and make the necessary changes in their life to do so.
I am here as the coach to help facilitate this process. I will help you build a strong, resilient, and athletic body, as well as a mind that doesn't rely on negative coping mechanisms to find happiness.
Through learning how to move better, overcoming imbalances in your body, and developing a program that helps you reach your goals is why I am here!
I am a big fan of exercising and spend a lot of my time doing it. I love the outdoors, hiking and moving. Basically any activity that requires exercise, I'm a fan of! I do it, not only for my body and how it feels physically, but also for the amazing benefits it has on my mind.
One of my biggest personal goals is to be the dad and future grandpa, maybe even great grandpa that can run around and play with the young ones. I'll be exercising till the day I die and I'll be smiling while I do it :)
